Nokyo-Do(Y-36)

I continue to make photographs until it has become so dark that I can only see from memory. As the last light falls upon the face of the rock, I stand in awe, feeling so one with this garden, so close to nature, to life itself. This is why I came here and why it seems as though I have been here forever. I begin to pack and prepare to leave. As I turn, I see him, not ten feet from me. His face is dim, yet I can sense his age. He bows deeply and we walk together to the gate, with no common words that we can speak... yet, he knows what I would say.
